The Source of Our Promise

Truly Desi came into existence in June 2018 as a means to bridge the gap that has been prevailing in the Indian dairy and farming industry. The story behind our brand is that of love, care, and the need to do the right thing. Seven years ago, as her young daughter battled a disease caused by adulterated milk, Rupali Kakade (Founder. Truly Desi) was frantically surfing the internet to find out from where major dairy brands were sourcing their milk. What she realized was that most big brands did not make their sources known publicly-which raised questions in her mind. Meanwhile, her daughter’s condition was getting worse. She decided to buy cows for her farm in Junnar for milk and dairy products. It worked and thus she went on to set up Truly Desi to bring farm fresh, adulteration-free dairy products to a market that lacked such options.

Our Farm

Truly Desi Farms is a self-sustaining ecological model that embodies nature’s fundamental principle—nothing goes to waste. Nearly everything is sourced from within the farm, minimizing external dependency. Everything begins with the cow and ultimately returns to the cow, creating a perfect cycle of sustainability.

Rooted in Vedic wisdom, our farm follows the agricultural practices prescribed in ancient Indian texts, seamlessly integrating Biodynamic farming principles. This truly circular ecosystem ensures that almost all farming inputs—fertilizers, pest control solutions, and soil enhancers—are generated within the farm itself, maintaining zero chemical contamination and fostering pure, regenerative agriculture.

Our Manufacturing Unit

Built with state-of-the-art technology, it ensures that traditional methods of dairy processing meet modern standards of hygiene and efficiency.

Every product crafted here begins with the goodness of fresh, farm-sourced milk and passes through processes that retain its natural nutrition, taste, and authenticity. Just as our farm embodies circular sustainability, our unit embodies responsible manufacturing—minimizing waste, recycling resources, and maintaining strict quality control.

Rooted in our vision of clean-label and chemical-free food, the unit functions not just as a place of production, but as a hub of trust where nature, science, and tradition come together to create dairy products that are as pure as they are powerful.
